NEWSLETTER: Make Polluters Pay & Cultivating Relationships with Local Farmers

Dramatic climate action is essential at the state level given the chaos and destruction of our Federal government at this time. Climate Action Now calls on our state officials to meet this moment with the just, bold and transformative action needed to sustain a livable ecosystem.

Cultivating Relationships…a new Climate Action Now project focused on how climate activists can support farmers and farm workers

Guided by farmers and farm workers’ expressed needs, we aim to actively assist farmers with field work, volunteer training, and new projects while focusing on climate and justice.

Joyful resistance for Women’s Day

Connect, Protect, Resist!

Mahmoud Kahlil, a graduate student at Columbia School of International and Public Affairs is a permanent resident, holding a green card; his pregnant wife is an American citizen. On March 8, this scholar and peaceful student activist for Palestinian rights, was arrested while he and his wife were entering their apartment and swiftly taken away, ending up in an ICE facility 1,000 miles away.

This move by the Trump regime marks a new stage in their assault on our fundamental first amendment rights of free speech and free assembly. It is an attack on immigrant rights, in a nation composed of immigrants from across the globe.

It serves as a warning that this administration will not tolerate any dissent. Our task remains: to connect in a powerful, strategic movement, to protect each other and to resist assaults on our fundamental rights.
