NEWSLETTER: Building People Power in the River Valley and Beyond; May Day in Springfield; Support farmers and more

How do we move from taking action as individuals to building a powerful peoples’ movement?

What would it look like to build a movement focused not only on resisting fascism but on creating the world we all long for?

How can we support each other here in Western Mass and beyond as we build our people powered movement?

The panel conversation will be followed by time for everyone to share ideas, questions and insights.

Hands on Volunteering at

Farm for The Food Bank of Western Mass

Supporting our farmers and bringing equity to our food system is more vital than ever. Farmers and vulnerable communities face the added stress of cutbacks, loss of grants, and reductions in food security programs.

The Climate Action Now Cultivating Relationships group is building an action-focused volunteer team to support local farms. We have a special invitation for hands-on volunteering at the Farm for The Food Bank of Western Mass on Monday, May 12th from 1 to 3 PM!

This remarkable no-till, hand-tool-only, regenerative farm in Hadley produces outstanding results that enhance food security in our communities. Connect with local food equity at a climate-smart and land-enriching farm.

Text “May 12th Project” with your name to Dan at 413-244-6559 if you would like to participate or have questions.

Scroll down for more about Cultivating Relationships

Volunteers at Cultivating Relationships strive to fortify communities and ecosystems by supporting farmers and farm workers. We honor farmers’ ongoing stewardship of land and offer assistance in improving climate resilience. We support farmers’ efforts towards food justice and an equitable regenerative farming future.

Being out in the fields and touching the soil reduces stress, and adds hope and joy to our lives… and some new gardening skills, too! You’ll meet like-minded people in support of farmers and gain the satisfaction of helping our neighbors thrive.

We are currently building an action-focused volunteer team. There are many ways to help including advocacy, organizing work days/events and hands on work at local farm for those who are able. If you would like to get involved complete the Inquiry form. Here is the link
