Upcoming Actions
Many groups are joining the ProtectTheResults.com national coalition of 130+ major groups who are making plans to protest if the Republicans try to undermine the elections. In Western Mass. we are preparing too.
The newly formed 4-county Western Mass Protect the Results is the local communication hub for upcoming actions & to link activists for self-organizing local actions in response to an election crisis (if the need arises).
If you haven’t responded to the survey yet, please do so here so you can receive future communications.
There are tentative plans for rallies on Wednesday, November 4th. All of these will be socially-distanced, masked, and held outdoors.

National Organizing
Democracy is fragile. We have reason to worry that this fall we may see an undemocratic power grab — a coup. We also know that the people can defend our democracy. Nonviolent mass protests have stopped coups in other places, and we may have to do the same in this country.
Choose Democracy is organizing to defend the results of the election, defend democracy, and resist a coup, if it comes to that. You can take the Choose Democracy Pledge here. You can find their list of ways to take action here. And you can find more resources here.
